The Twilight movies have proved themselves worth of such movie mania. New Moon the second installment in the Twilight series has much magic movie type appeal in that we are drawn to the supernatural. Houdini had to start somewhere and if you have a family member in the business of course it would be much easier to master. Criss got started when he was young and has never stopped. He does amazing illusions on the streets of Las Vegas daily with crowds of people watching intently at the master of illusion. Another magician who is on television and in movies is David Blaine. David believes that the mind can achieve anything if you push it hard enough. His stunts include being submerged under water for an extended period of time, sitting in a block of ice for 4 days with no food or water, and hanging from a rope for 3 days. These kind of stunts are magical in a way that they prove to not only David but everyone watching that the mind really is a powerful tool and if put to the test can overcome more than is thought to be humanly possible.

The Harry Potter series is the largest grossing franchise in movie magic making history. Their films have grossed hundreds of millions of dollars and there are still 3 yet to come out. What makes these magic movies so popular is the way they draw you into wizardry and magical spells. They are definitely great films for kids but more and more adults are watching them as much if not more. These movies are all about special effects but the magic in all of us wants to believe that these things can happen. I think adults cherish these kinds of movies because like our children we used to be that age and we often dreamt of being magical or a magician in some way. Its kind of like being a kid again when you watch it.
